Cracovie
Kraków, the former capital of Poland, lies in the south of the country on the Vistula. It is the second largest city in Poland and the focal point of Lesser Poland. Known for its rich history, it served as a royal city and the burial place of Polish kings. Among its tourist attractions, the Royal Castle on Wawel Hill, the Main Market Square and the Jagiellonian University stand out. Kraków has a temperate climate, and the best time to visit is spring and summer, when temperatures are pleasant.
